The price of life project: Ashleigh Olds
The FINAL WRITE UP:
My write up:
My First project at High Tech High. This was a fun experience. Kind of stressful having to look at all the numbers and realizing that in the next few years I'm going to be actually having to use these numbers. It was kind of a long project and I did not stay very organized during it but mind you, it was my own fault. I would like to do something like this again though.
I found this project HIGHLY useful. I know I will be seeing these numbers again really soon. The only difference will be if they will be higher or lower. I found this project useful because I wasn't just dealing with math equations I was dealing with a real life experience and things that will happen in the next decade.
I will most likely be using the website I used for apartments in this project when I go to college because I found some nice apartments for a good price. So, if anything good came out of this project it's in the next 10 years I'll have a nice cheap apartment in Utah. The thing I will probably change in years to come is the insurance. I didn't like everything it covered… I didn't put it in the write up but that's definitely something I will be changing in the future.
The advice that people gave me for my presentations was very helpful. They were nice and objective. I really appreciate the time they took out of their lives to listen to me and give their advice. I did enjoy this project because I feel better prepared for college life.
